Chilaquil, located in San Antonio's vibrant Pearl District, has garnered acclaim for its authentic Mexican fare. Customers rave about the blue corn tacos and the generous use of Mexican cheese, providing a delightful punch of flavor. The lively ambiance makes it a perfect lunch spot, even as patrons note that prices may lean a bit higher, commensurate with the quality and portion sizes received.
One highlight is the renowned chilaquiles dish, often described as bursting with taste. Feedback from regulars emphasizes the restaurant’s quick service and impressive communication, as evidenced by a customer's account where the staff promptly addressed an unavailable item while offering alternative options.
Chilaquil also excels with its crispy tortilla chips, perfectly paired with rich guacamole and a unique queso dip that defies traditional expectations. Diners appreciate the fresh ingredients, as noted in reviews highlighting deliciously seasoned chorizo and perfectly cooked fried eggs sitting atop chilaquiles. The charming packaging further elevates the takeaway experience, adding a special touch to each order.
In summary, Chilaquil not only meets but exceeds expectations, combining great food with a wonderful outdoor setting. This culinary gem is a must-visit for anyone craving comforting Mexican cuisine.

Great blue corn tacos! I enjoyed the Mexican cheese that they put on. Service was quick and it’s a nice lively place to have lunch. A bit pricey but I got a lot of food.

I tend to order in a lot since I work nights and work a lot. I started scrolling through my food apps and I came across Chilaquil. I am a huge fan of chliaquiles in general so I figured let’s try it out. The menu looked amazing so I was sold. I tend to order more than I can eat so I can try a bit of everything and share with whoever is working with me that night. So I put in my order, my coworker added hers and we got back to work. We received a notification that one of our orders couldn’t be completed so we had to order a different item. Within the minute of receiving the notification I get a call from the restaurant and they explained what they were out of and what our options were. Great communication. Our food came quickly which was even better. I got the chilaquil bowl as well as chips, guacamole, and queso. My coworker got tacos. Everything tasted great. The chips were nice and crispy, the guacamole was plentiful, which I loved, and the queso was not your typical runny queso. It was good. I wish the salsa verde was a bit spicier but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. Did I mention the gorgeous packaging? I wanted to keep the box it was so cute. I will be ordering again to try the other options.

Tacos were pretty good, guac was fantastic. Nice to get food to go and enjoy outside with the kids. The tortilla chips were tasty too!

This place was exceptional!! The torta was great! Meat was tender, bread was soft with the crusted cheese on it, the sauces were spicy with great flavor. My daughter's tacos were "the best she's ever had." The chips are great and thick, real homemade tortilla chips not out of a bag. We were hoping it would be good it far out did our expectations and the environment sitting out on the lawn at the pearl just adds to the experience! We'll definitely come here again.

Tried a new food truck for breakfast it’s near our favorite coffee truck. We had the traditional chilaquile bowl which was topped with a fried egg and drizzled with one of the best tomatillos sauce we’ve ever tasted. Also, had an order of molletas—one with black beans, grilled cheese, and sliced avocado; and, a second molleta with black beans and chorizo. The chorizo was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. All the food is fresh and delicious. Jorge is a great chef.

The chilaquiles were SO delicious! The salsa was perfect, the portion was generous, and I love the amount of pickled onion, it really boosted the chilaquiles. I got a side of rice and it was a little undercooked, nothing that made me change my mind about the rating. The horchata was ALSO delicious! Pricey but that’s expected.

We ordered the chilaquiles verdes and the carne asada tacos with the blue tortillas. The chilaquiles were delicious. I loved the cebolla curtida they put on them. The plate had a beautiful presentation. The tacos were good, just didn’t like the plate they were served on. The green and red salsas given to us for the tacos were nice and spicy, like a traditional Mexican salsa should be. Lastly, we had a Mexican Coca-Cola, served nice and cold. Of course, let’s mention the location, we came on a Monday and it was a great day to come. The location is beautiful and it was not overcrowded.

This place was delicious. After being treated rudely at boiler house and leaving, we were happy to stop by the food hall and find some goodies. I had the torta sandwich and it did not disappoint. The horchata tasted fresh and delicious as well. The portion was perfect. My daughter got the al pastor tacos and they were amazing!
